The MEMS resonator base gives it better shock and vibration tolerance than a quartz crystal — useful if the board sees handling during assembly or moderate mechanical stress in the end product. It operates from a 3V supply and draws typically 3 mA, with a standby power-down function that drops supply current to 1 µA — a reasonable fit for a power-sensitive digital clock tree that needs to idle.
Available through independent surplus distribution; quantities are lot-specific and confirmed at RFQ.
Package and footprint for the rework bench
Housed in a 4-SMD, no-lead package measuring 5.00 mm x 3.20 mm with a seated height of 0.90 mm — standard 5×3.2 mm oscillator footprint. The no-lead construction means the pads are on the bottom; inspect solder joints with X-ray or a borescope after reflow. Not rated for industrial or automotive ambient temperatures.
