What this MEMS oscillator brings to your board
It runs from a single 3V supply and draws a maximum of 10 mA, making it a drop-in replacement for quartz crystal oscillators in the same 5.0 mm × 3.2 mm 4-SMD no-lead footprint.
Standby pin — power-down on command
This is the feature that makes the part useful in battery-operated equipment: a microcontroller can hold the oscillator in standby during sleep and wake it only when it needs a clock edge.
That covers indoor electronics, office equipment, consumer appliances, and benchtop instrumentation. If your design lives in an unconditioned enclosure or sees outdoor exposure, you would need the industrial-temperature variant of the DSC1030 family.
