Automotive-grade MEMS timing for 25 MHz clock trees
The DSC1004DI2-025.0000 is a 25 MHz MEMS-based XO (Standard) oscillator from Microchip's DSC1004 series, delivering a CMOS output from a 1.8V to 3.3V supply rail. The MEMS resonator inherently withstands higher g-levels than quartz, reducing the likelihood of start-up failures or frequency jumps in high-vibration environments.
Operating from 1.8V to 3.3V, this oscillator can be shared across a mixed-voltage board without a dedicated LDO — the same part serves a 1.8V MCU core and a 3.3V peripheral bus.
Frequency stability and package footprint
Frequency stability is rated at ±25 ppm, tight enough for CAN, FlexRay, and most MCU clock inputs without external trimming. The 4-SMD, no-lead package measures 2.50 mm x 2.00 mm with a seated height of 0.90 mm — a compact footprint that fits space-constrained automotive modules and handheld instruments.
