Automotive-grade MEMS clock source
The DSC1004DI2-012.0000 is a 12 MHz MEMS-based oscillator from Microchip's DSC1004 series, qualified to AEC-Q100 — the automotive IC reliability standard.
Standby power-down for battery-backed designs
Active draw is 6.5 mA max at 12 MHz, comparable to a quartz oscillator but with better shock tolerance from the MEMS resonator.
Housed in a 4-SMD, No Lead package measuring 2.50mm x 2.00mm with a seated height of 0.90mm — the same footprint as many standard quartz oscillators, so it drops onto an existing PCB layout without a board spin. The MEMS die inside is inherently more resistant to vibration and mechanical shock than a quartz blank, which matters for engine-mounted ECUs or portable equipment.
