Automotive-grade MEMS oscillator — 50 MHz, CMOS, standby
The DSC1004AE5-050.0000 is a 50 MHz MEMS-based XO (Standard) delivering CMOS output with ±10 ppm frequency stability — tight enough to clock CAN FD, 100BASE-T1 Ethernet, or a sensor hub without external PLL tuning. AEC-Q100 qualification (Grade 2, −20°C to +70°C) suits it for cabin and under-hood automotive modules, as well as industrial control where reliability screening is mandated.
Supply voltage range and standby control
Active draw is 8 mA max at 50 MHz — well within the budget of a 3.3 V rail supplying a small MCU cluster.
Housed in a 4-SMD, no-lead exposed-pad package measuring 7.00 mm × 5.00 mm with a seated height of 0.90 mm — a standard ceramic oscillator footprint that matches many quartz XO pads. Surface-mount assembly; the exposed pad provides a thermal and mechanical bond to the PCB. Confirm the pad pattern matches the 4-pin layout before committing the BOM.
