MEMS timing for automotive and industrial boards
The DSC1003DI2-024.5670T is a MEMS-based XO (standard oscillator) from Microchip's DSC1003 series, delivering a 24.567 MHz CMOS output with ±25 ppm frequency stability across -40°C to +85°C. AEC-Q100 qualification means this part has passed automotive-grade reliability stress tests (temperature cycling, ESD, latch-up) for deployment in under-hood or cabin electronics where quartz oscillators may drift under vibration. The MEMS base resonator is inherently more shock- and vibration-tolerant than a quartz crystal — relevant for engine control units, transmission controllers, and ADAS camera modules that see constant mechanical stress.
Standby power-down and supply range
Supply voltage spans 1.7 V to 3.6 V, covering common logic rails without an external regulator — one BOM line serves multiple power domains. The standby (power-down) function disables the output and drops supply current to 15 µA max, versus 8 mA max in active mode — useful for battery-backed RTC or sleep-mode wake-up circuits in automotive body controllers.
Package, footprint, and layout fit
Housed in a 4-VDFN package measuring 3.20 mm x 2.50 mm with a seated height of 0.90 mm — compatible with standard 3.2 x 2.5 mm quartz oscillator footprints for drop-in replacement on existing PCB layouts.
