AEC-Q100 qualified MEMS oscillator for automotive clock trees
The DSC1003CL2-025.0000T is a MEMS-based XO (Standard) oscillator from Microchip's DSC1003 series, delivering a 25 MHz CMOS output. The standby (power-down) function drops the supply current to 15 µA max, allowing the oscillator to be gated off during vehicle sleep states without draining the battery.
25 MHz CMOS output with ±25 ppm stability
Frequency stability is ±25 ppm across the full temperature and voltage range, which meets the timing budget for 100BASE-T1 Ethernet and CAN-FD controllers without external trimming. The 1.7V to 3.6V supply range lets the oscillator run directly from a 1.8V or 3.3V rail — no additional LDO needed for the clock source. Maximum operating current is 6 mA, keeping the thermal load low in a sealed ECU enclosure.

4-SMD no-lead package and board integration
The 4-SMD, No Lead package measures 3.20 mm x 2.50 mm with a seated height of 0.90 mm. The small footprint and low profile suit space-constrained automotive PCBs where a crystal plus load capacitors would take up more area. Supplied on Tape & Reel for automated pick-and-place assembly. The MEMS resonator is inherently more shock- and vibration-tolerant than a quartz crystal, which is a practical advantage for engine-mounted or chassis-mounted modules.
