The DSC1001DL5-005.0196 is a MEMS-based XO (Standard) oscillator from Microchip's DSC1001 series, delivering a fixed 5.0196 MHz CMOS output. Its AEC-Q100 qualification makes it suited for automotive electronic modules where quartz oscillators may fail under vibration or thermal cycling — the MEMS die is inherently more shock-tolerant.
Supply voltage and power-down standby
The supply voltage range of 1.8V to 3.3V covers the three most common digital core and I/O rails — no level translator needed when the oscillator is powered from a 3.3V or 1.8V bus. This is useful for battery-backed or sleep-mode automotive modules that must minimize quiescent draw while the rest of the system is off.
The 4-SMD, No Lead package measures 2.50 mm x 2.00 mm with a seated height of 0.90 mm. This is a standard 4-pin oscillator footprint — the same land pattern used by many quartz oscillators in the 2.5x2.0 mm form factor, so the DSC1001DL5-005.0196 can be a drop-in replacement on boards originally laid out for a quartz part.
