The DSC1001DL2-048.0000 is an AEC-Q100 qualified MEMS XO delivering a 48 MHz CMOS clock from a single 1.8–3.3 V supply. The -40 to +105 °C operating range covers under-hood and outdoor telecom enclosures without an external heater or fan.
The 1.8–3.3 V supply range means the same BOM line serves a 1.8 V core rail or a 3.3 V I/O rail; no level translator needed between the oscillator output and the downstream CMOS input.
Small footprint and layout considerations
Housed in a 2.50 mm × 2.00 mm 4-SMD no-lead package, the DSC1001DL2-048.0000 fits the same land pattern as standard 2.5×2.0 mm crystal oscillators. The 0.90 mm seated height clears low-profile enclosures. Because the package has no leads, the PCB footprint relies on the solder-paste stencil aperture to control standoff — a 0.125 mm stencil thickness with a 1:1 pad-to-aperture ratio is a typical starting point for reflow.
The DSC1001 series is Microchip's current MEMS oscillator family, so replacement risk is low for a design starting today.
