72 MHz MEMS clock source with automotive-grade reliability
The DSC1001DI5-072.0000T is a 72 MHz MEMS-based oscillator from Microchip's DSC1001 series, delivering a CMOS output with ±10 ppm frequency stability. The MEMS resonator replaces a quartz crystal — it withstands the shock and vibration profile of under-hood and chassis-mount automotive electronics without the frequency drift a quartz unit would show. The 1.8V–3.3V supply range lets it run from a 1.8V core rail or a 3.3V I/O rail without a level translator.
Standby function and power budget
Active draw is 8.7 mA max at 72 MHz. The standby (power-down) function drops that to 15 µA max — a sleep-mode automotive module that spends most of its life parked can keep the oscillator off and wake on a CAN or LIN edge, stretching the battery budget.
Housed in a 2.50 mm × 2.00 mm No Lead package with a seated height of 0.90 mm max. The footprint fits tight automotive ECU layouts.
The DSC1001 series is Microchip's current MEMS oscillator family, so this part is available for new designs and volume BOMs. Sourced through independent distribution; quoted to order against the BOM quantity.
