Standby mode for power-cycled designs
A dedicated Standby (Power Down) function drops the current draw to 15 µA max when the enable pin is de-asserted — this is 0.2% of the 7.2 mA active supply, making the part suitable for battery-powered modules that sleep between transmissions. The enable pin is internally pulled high; leaving it floating keeps the oscillator active. No external pull-up resistor is needed for normal operation.
The 4-SMD, No Lead package measures 2.50 mm x 2.00 mm with a seated height of 0.90 mm — a compact footprint that matches industry-standard 2.5 x 2.0 mm oscillator pads, simplifying a drop-in replacement for quartz oscillators in the same envelope. Surface-mount mounting with the 4-pin layout: the pinout follows the standard DSC1001 series — no special via-in-pad or buried via required.
