It outputs CMOS levels and carries AEC-Q100 qualification, making it suitable for automotive timing applications where shock and vibration tolerance matter more than a quartz oscillator's aging curve. Supply voltage spans 1.8V to 3.3V, so the same part serves 1.8V, 2.5V, and 3.3V logic rails without a separate LDO.
Temperature grade and automotive fit
This covers cabin and most under-hood locations, but not the full -40°C cold-crank requirement some ECUs specify. If your BOM calls for -40°C operation, check the DSC1001 family's extended-temperature variants.
Housed in a 4-SMD, no-lead package measuring 2.50 mm x 2.00 mm with a seated height of 0.90 mm. The 0.098" x 0.079" footprint matches standard 2.5 x 2.0 mm oscillator pads — no via-in-pad or special fan-out needed. Surface-mount mounting only.
Product status is Active per Microchip.
