25 MHz MEMS oscillator with automotive qualification
The DSC1001CL3-025.0000 is a 25 MHz MEMS-based XO (Standard) oscillator from Microchip's DSC1001 series, delivering a CMOS output with ±20 ppm frequency stability across its full operating range. The MEMS resonator replaces a quartz crystal, offering better shock and vibration resistance — a practical advantage for engine-bay and chassis-mounted PCBs.
Supply voltage and standby power-down
The standby (power down) function drops supply current to 15 µA max when disabled, preserving battery life in wake-on-event designs like automotive body controllers or remote sensor nodes. Active supply current is 8 mA max at 25 MHz, which is typical for a MEMS oscillator at this frequency and leaves headroom for the rest of the clock tree budget.
Housed in a 4-VDFN package measuring 3.20 mm x 2.50 mm with a seated height of 0.90 mm, the DSC1001CL3-025.0000 fits into space-constrained designs like ADAS camera modules or compact IoT gateways. Surface-mount assembly with a standard reflow profile — the 4-pin VDFN is hand-solderable with a fine-tip iron and magnification, though a hot-air station is cleaner for production volumes.
