AEC-Q100 qualified MEMS oscillator for automotive clock trees
The DSC1001CE2-011.2986T is a MEMS-based XO (Standard) oscillator from Microchip's DSC1001 series, delivering a fixed 11.2986 MHz output in CMOS logic levels. Its AEC-Q100 rating means it passed the full automotive qualification suite—temperature cycling, ESD, latch-up, and extended life tests—so an OEM auditor will accept the PPAP package without a waiver. The ±25 ppm frequency stability covers the full -20°C to +70°C operating range and the 1.8V–3.3V supply window, keeping the clock within tight margins for CAN, LIN, or Ethernet PHY reference inputs.
Standby mode cuts power to 15 µA for battery-backed domains
When the enable pin is pulled low, the oscillator enters Standby (Power Down) mode, drawing 15 µA max from the supply rail—this is the disable current, not the active draw. Active supply current is 6.3 mA max at no load, so the standby savings are substantial for an ECU module that spends most of its time in sleep and wakes only on a bus message.
