11.2896 MHz MEMS oscillator for automotive timing
The DSC1001CE2-011.2896 is a standard XO (Standard) MEMS oscillator from Microchip's DSC1001 series, delivering a fixed 11.2896 MHz CMOS output. The MEMS resonator replaces a quartz crystal, giving faster startup and better shock/vibration tolerance than a traditional crystal oscillator. Supply voltage spans 1.8V to 3.3V, so the same oscillator can feed a 1.8V MCU core and a 3.3V peripheral bus without a level translator on the clock line.
AEC-Q100 qualification and standby power-down
Rated AEC-Q100, this oscillator is qualified for automotive-grade reliability — the part can be placed in an infotainment head unit, ADAS camera module, or body controller without additional derating for thermal cycling or vibration. A standby (power-down) function disables the output and drops supply current to 15 µA max, useful for battery-save modes in automotive sleep states or portable equipment. The part is available for new designs and ongoing BOM replenishment through independent distribution.
4-SMD no-lead footprint and supply current
Housed in a 4-SMD, No Lead package measuring 3.20 mm x 2.50 mm with a seated height of 0.90 mm, the footprint matches standard 3.2 x 2.5 mm oscillator pads — no layout change from a quartz XO of the same size. Max supply current is 6.3 mA at full load, keeping the thermal budget low in dense PCB assemblies. The CMOS output swings rail-to-rail, so no external termination resistor is needed for short traces.
