MEMS oscillator for 3.58 MHz clock generation
The DSC1001CE2-003.5800 is a MEMS-based XO (Standard) oscillator from Microchip's DSC1001 series, delivering a fixed 3.58 MHz CMOS output with ±25 ppm frequency stability. Its 1.8V to 3.3V supply range lets a single BOM line serve 1.8V, 2.5V, and 3.3V logic rails — useful when the same oscillator clocks an MCU core and its peripheral bus at different voltages.
Rated AEC-Q100, this oscillator meets automotive IC qualification for temperature, reliability, and PPAP — suitable for cabin and chassis-domain modules where the ambient stays within -20°C to 70°C. The commercial temperature range (-20°C to 70°C) limits deployment to climate-controlled interiors; under-hood or outdoor telecom applications need a wider-temperature variant from the DSC1001 family.
Housed in a 4-SMD, No Lead package measuring 3.20 mm × 2.50 mm with a seated height of 0.90 mm — the 0.126" × 0.098" footprint fits standard oscillator pads and reflow profiles for MEMS resonators. Surface-mount assembly; the MEMS die inside is shock- and vibration-tolerant compared to quartz crystals, reducing the risk of frequency shift under mechanical stress in automotive or portable equipment.
