MEMS oscillator for automotive and industrial clock trees
The DSC1001CE1-015.3600T is a MEMS-based XO (Standard) oscillator from Microchip's DSC1001 series, delivering a fixed 15.36 MHz CMOS output from a 4-SMD no-lead package measuring 3.20 mm x 2.50 mm. AEC-Q100 qualification means this part has passed automotive-grade stress tests — temperature cycling, ESD, latch-up — making it suitable for cabin electronics, infotainment, and ADAS reference clocks where quartz crystals might drift under vibration.
Supply voltage range and standby power-down
The supply voltage covers 1.8 V to 3.3 V, so the same BOM line works across a 1.8 V core rail and a 3.3 V I/O rail without a separate level translator — useful when the oscillator feeds both an MCU and a PHY at different voltages. A standby (power-down) function drops the supply current to 15 µA max when the enable pin is pulled low — the oscillator stops and the output goes high-impedance, which lets the system gate the clock without an external AND gate.
Temperature grade and deployment boundary
Rated for -20°C to 70°C — this is a commercial temperature range. The part fits indoor equipment, cabin electronics, and office gear, but not engine-bay or outdoor telecom enclosures that see -40°C or 105°C ambient. Frequency stability is ±50 ppm across the full temperature range — tight enough for a 100BASE-TX Ethernet reference or a USB full-speed clock without external trimming.
