4.096 MHz MEMS oscillator with AEC-Q100 grade
The DSC1001CC1-004.0960 is a MEMS-based XO (Standard) oscillator from Microchip's DSC1001 series, delivering a 4.096 MHz CMOS output with ±50 ppm frequency stability. Rated AEC-Q100, it is qualified for automotive applications — the MEMS resonator core offers better shock and vibration immunity than a quartz crystal, which matters in under-hood or chassis-mounted electronics where mechanical stress can pull a quartz oscillator off frequency.
Supply voltage flexibility and standby power
Operates across a 1.8V to 3.3V supply range, so the same part can be used on a 1.8V MCU rail or a 3.3V logic rail without a separate voltage translator. A standby (power-down) function drops the supply current to 15 µA max — useful for modules that sleep between CAN bus wake-ups or key-off intervals. Active current draw is 6.3 mA max at full rail, which is typical for a MEMS oscillator at this frequency.
Package and temperature range for the BOM
Housed in a 4-SMD, no-lead package measuring 3.20 mm x 2.50 mm with a seated height of 0.90 mm — a compact footprint that fits tight PCB layouts in automotive ECUs or portable instrumentation.
