40 MHz MEMS oscillator for automotive and industrial clocks
The DSC1001BL5-040.0000T is a 40 MHz fixed-frequency oscillator built on a MEMS resonator, delivering CMOS output in a 5.0 mm × 3.2 mm 4-SMD no-lead package. It is AEC-Q100 qualified, meaning it has passed the automotive-grade reliability stress and temperature cycling tests required for under-hood or cabin electronics. The supply voltage range spans 1.8V to 3.3V, letting the same oscillator serve 1.8V core logic and 3.3V I/O domains without a separate level translator.
Standby function and power-down current
A standby (power-down) pin disables the output and drops the supply current to 15 µA max, making this oscillator suitable for battery-backed modules that sleep between wake cycles. When active, the maximum supply current is 7.2 mA at 40 MHz — the MEMS core draws less than a comparable quartz crystal oscillator at the same frequency.
Temperature range and frequency stability
Frequency stability is ±10 ppm across the full temperature range, tight enough for CAN FD, Ethernet, and most serial bus reference clocks.
