120 MHz automotive-grade MEMS oscillator
The DSC1001BI5-120.0000T is a 120 MHz XO (Standard) oscillator from Microchip's DSC1001 series, built on a MEMS resonator. AEC-Q100 qualification means this part is screened for automotive reliability — suitable for engine control units, ADAS sensor clocks, or infotainment systems where a quartz crystal's shock and vibration sensitivity is a concern.
Power budget and standby mode
Active current draw is 8.7 mA max at 120 MHz. When the standby (power-down) function is asserted, the supply current drops to 15 µA max — enough to keep the oscillator off in a sleep state without draining the battery. The supply voltage range of 1.8V to 3.3V lets the oscillator run from a common 3.3V or 1.8V rail without an external regulator, simplifying the power tree.
Housed in a 4-SMD, no-lead package measuring 5.00 mm x 3.20 mm with a seated height of 0.90 mm. The surface-mount footprint is standard for 5x3.2 mm oscillators — no special layout considerations beyond normal reflow soldering. Supplied on Tape & Reel for automated pick-and-place assembly.
