MEMS oscillator for automotive timing
The DSC1001BE3-026.0000T is a MEMS-based XO (Standard) oscillator from Microchip's DSC1001 series, delivering a 26 MHz CMOS output with ±20 ppm absolute pull range (APR). The MEMS resonator replaces a quartz crystal, giving better shock and vibration immunity — relevant for automotive and industrial environments where quartz can fracture under mechanical stress. AEC-Q100 qualification (Grade 3, -20°C to 70°C) means this part passed automotive-grade reliability stress tests including temperature cycling and ESD. The commercial temperature range limits it to cabin or climate-controlled zones — not for under-hood ambient above 70°C.
Supply range and standby power
Operates from 1.8V to 3.3V supply, covering common digital rails without an external regulator. Maximum supply current is 8 mA during active oscillation, and the standby (power-down) function drops draw to 15 µA max — useful for battery-backed RTC or sleep-mode wake-up circuits.
