The DSC1001BE1-016.0000T is a 16 MHz MEMS-based XO (Standard) from Microchip's DSC1001 series, delivering a CMOS output in a 4-SMD, No Lead package measuring 5.00 mm x 3.20 mm.
Standby function and power-down control
This feature is controlled via a dedicated pin on the 4-pin package; pulling it low places the output in high-impedance and stops the internal MEMS resonator, preserving the oscillator's start-up timing when re-enabled.
Supply voltage tolerance and frequency stability
The supply voltage range of 1.8 V to 3.3 V covers common digital rails — 1.8 V for low-power cores, 2.5 V for DDR interfaces, and 3.3 V for legacy logic — without needing a separate regulator for the clock source. Frequency stability is specified at ±50 ppm across the -20°C to 70°C operating range, which keeps the clock within 800 Hz of 16 MHz at temperature extremes — sufficient for CAN, LIN, and general-purpose microcontroller timing.
It remains a current-design-in candidate for new automotive and industrial BOMs.
