Supply voltage spans 1.8 V to 3.3 V, covering common digital core and I/O rails without an external regulator, and the Enable/Disable function lets the system shut down the oscillator to 15 µA max standby current.
MEMS vs quartz — why the ±10 ppm holds
Unlike a quartz crystal that ages and shifts frequency with mechanical shock, the MEMS resonator in the DSC1001 series maintains its ±10 ppm stability over temperature and lifetime without a separate trim capacitor or external load capacitance. The 7.2 mA max supply current at 27 MHz is comparable to a standard quartz oscillator, but the MEMS construction eliminates the start-up reliability issues quartz can exhibit at cold temperatures — a known failure mode in automotive cold-crank conditions.
The 4-SMD, No Lead Exposed Pad package measures 7.00 mm × 5.00 mm with a seated height of 0.90 mm, fitting standard 7×5 mm oscillator footprints without board layout changes.
