Automotive-grade MEMS clock source
For a CAN or LIN node, that stability keeps the bit timing within the tolerance window without external trim capacitors or a separate VCXO. The 6.3 mA max supply current at 24 MHz is low enough for a sensor module powered from a 12 V battery through a linear regulator; the 15 µA standby current (pin-controlled power-down) lets the oscillator drop off the current budget when the ECU sleeps.
Package and mounting for field service
The 4-SMD, No Lead Exposed Pad package measures 7.00 mm × 5.00 mm with a seated height of 0.90 mm. Surface-mount only — no socket option. If you are swapping this in the field, the board needs to come out and hit a reflow station or hot-air pencil. The pad layout is standard for 7×5 mm XO footprints, so a common replacement from another MEMS vendor will often fit the same land pattern.
