MEMS oscillator for automotive and industrial clocking
The DSC1001AI2-064.0000T is a MEMS-based XO (Standard) from Microchip Technology, delivering a 64 MHz CMOS output with ±25 ppm frequency stability across -40°C to 85°C. The MEMS resonator is inherently more shock- and vibration-tolerant than a quartz crystal — relevant for engine-bay or chassis-mounted ECUs where a quartz can fracture under mechanical stress. AEC-Q100 qualification confirms the part meets automotive-grade reliability testing: temperature cycling, ESD, and latch-up.
Supply range and standby power
The 1.8V–3.3V supply range spans the common digital rails — 1.8V for low-power SoCs, 2.5V for DDR interfaces, 3.3V for legacy logic. The wide input means the same oscillator can be used across multiple voltage domains without a separate regulator, simplifying BOM consolidation. Standby (Power Down) function drops the supply current to 15 µA max — useful for battery-backed modules or sleep-mode automotive controllers where the oscillator must be disabled without removing power.
Housed in a 4-SMD, No Lead package measuring 7.00 mm × 5.00 mm with a seated height of 0.90 mm. This is the standard 7050 oscillator footprint — the same land pattern used by quartz oscillators of this size, so a drop-in swap from a quartz to this MEMS part is possible without a board spin.
