Product details

MEMS oscillator with automotive-grade reliability

Its AEC-Q100 qualification means this oscillator meets the reliability stress and temperature-grade requirements for automotive under-hood and cabin electronics — no need for a ceramic resonator to survive vibration or thermal cycling.

Power budget and standby behaviour

The supply voltage range of 1.8V to 3.3V covers common 3.3V and 1.8V logic rails without an external level translator on the oscillator output.

Package and footprint for rework

Housed in a 4-SMD, no-lead exposed-pad package measuring 7.00 mm x 5.00 mm x 0.90 mm — the exposed pad helps thermal transfer to the board, but means the pad under the part needs a solid ground via array to keep the junction cool under continuous operation. The 0.90 mm seated height and 5.00 mm width fit standard oscillator footprints; the no-lead construction is reworkable with hot air if you preheat the board to 100°C and use a wide nozzle — the exposed pad wicks solder evenly if the stencil aperture is right.

Frequently asked questions

What does the standby (power-down) function do on this oscillator?

The standby function disables the output and drops supply current from 6.3 mA max to 15 µA max. The oscillator stops; re-enabling the pin restarts the output after the start-up settling time. Useful for battery-powered modules that sleep between wake events.
