The DSC1001AI2-016.5000T is a MEMS-based XO (Standard) from Microchip's DSC1001 series, delivering a fixed 16.5 MHz CMOS output with ±25 ppm frequency stability across the full industrial temperature range of -40 to 85 °C. The MEMS resonator gives this part a faster startup than a quartz-based XO and better resistance to vibration and mechanical shock, which is why it often appears in engine-control and transmission-control unit BOMs.
Supply range, standby mode, and power budget
For a battery-backed RTC or a CAN node that sleeps between wake-up cycles, that 15 µA standby current keeps the oscillator from draining the hold-up capacitor during long idle periods.
Package, footprint, and assembly
Housed in a 4-SMD, no-lead exposed pad package measuring 7.00 mm × 5.00 mm with a seated height of 0.90 mm—a standard 7×5 mm ceramic SMD footprint that matches many quartz XO pinouts, so the PCB layout does not need to change when swapping from a quartz to a MEMS source.
