Automotive-grade MEMS timing at 24 MHz
The DSC1001AE1-024.0000 is a MEMS-based XO (Standard) oscillator delivering a 24 MHz CMOS output with ±50 ppm frequency stability. Its AEC-Q100 qualification means it is tested to automotive reliability stress levels — suitable for under-hood and chassis-domain ECUs where a quartz oscillator's shock or vibration sensitivity would be a risk. Supply voltage spans 1.8V to 3.3V, covering 1.8V, 2.5V, and 3.3V logic rails without a dedicated regulator. The standby (power-down) function drops disable current to 15 µA max, so the oscillator does not dominate the sleep budget in battery-backed modules.
Package and layout fit
Housed in a 4-SMD, no-lead exposed pad package measuring 7.00 mm × 5.00 mm with a seated height of 0.90 mm. The exposed pad provides a low-thermal-resistance path to the PCB ground plane — important for keeping the MEMS die temperature stable in high-ambient automotive environments. Surface-mount reflow profile follows standard JEDEC MSL; no special handling beyond ESD precautions.
The DSC1001 series is an ongoing Microchip product line; no pin-compatible successor has been announced.
