100 mA constant-current linear driver for LED signage and lighting
The Microchip CL6K4-G is a single-channel linear LED driver delivering a regulated 100 mA output current, designed for constant-current LED strings in signage and general lighting applications. Its output voltage swings from 4 V to 90 V, so it handles long series strings of low-Vf LEDs or a single high-voltage LED module without a switching regulator's inductor and ripple. PWM dimming is supported on the control input, letting the downstream MCU or controller vary brightness by modulating the on-time while the driver holds the current regulation steady.
Surface-mount assembly in a TO-252 DPAK footprint
Housed in a TO-252-3 (DPak) package with a solderable tab, the CL6K4-G mounts on a standard SMD pad layout and the tab doubles as the thermal path and the output connection. Available in both Tape & Reel and Cut Tape options, the part fits pick-and-place assembly and prototype or low-volume builds.
