The Microchip AVR64DD32-I/PT is an 8-bit AVR microcontroller from the AVR® DD family, built for cost-sensitive control applications that need moderate program and data memory. The 24 MHz core speed keeps the timing budget tight enough for UART baud rates up to 1.5 Mbps and PWM resolution in the microsecond range.
Analog integration: 23-channel ADC and a DAC on one die
A 23-channel 12-bit successive-approximation ADC and a single 10-bit DAC are built in, which can replace a separate external ADC or DAC in a mixed-signal control board. The 12-bit resolution on the ADC gives about 1.2 mV per count at a 5 V reference — adequate for monitoring thermocouple outputs, current-sense resistors, or potentiometer feedback. The DAC can generate an analog setpoint or a simple waveform without an external converter.

The AVR® DD series is a current mainstream family; replacement parts, if ever needed, would come from the same series with compatible pinouts and memory options.
