Read access time is 550 ns, which sets the minimum SCL low-to-high transition window for a single byte read — at 1 MHz the bus period is 1 µs, so the access fits within one clock cycle with margin. Page write time is 5 ms; if the application writes multiple sequential bytes within a page, the total write time stays at 5 ms regardless of byte count, so firmware update loops must budget this as a fixed latency per page.
