10-bit resistive touchscreen controller with UART output
The AR1011-I/SS is a 10-bit resistive touchscreen controller from Microchip's mTouch™ series, communicating over a UART interface. It supports 4-, 5-, or 8-wire resistive touch panels, covering the common analog touchscreen configurations used in industrial HMIs, medical terminals, and point-of-sale equipment.
Supply voltage and temperature range
Supply current is 17 mA typical — a modest draw for a continuously scanning touchscreen interface, but worth budgeting in battery-powered handhelds where the controller may stay active during the entire user session.
The 1.27 mm pitch is board-friendly — two-layer PCBs with standard design rules handle the fan-out easily. The supplier device package is 20-SSOP, matching the package/case designation.
