32 Kbit SPI EEPROM for industrial and embedded storage
The Microchip 25AA320AT-I/MNY is a 32 Kbit serial EEPROM with an SPI interface, organized as 4K x 8 bits. The 8-TDFN package (2x3 mm) with exposed pad suits space-constrained PCBs in industrial controls, IoT nodes, and telecom equipment where non-volatile parameter storage or firmware calibration data is needed.
The 1.8V to 5.5V supply range is the primary fit criterion: it mates directly to 3.3V or 5V SPI masters without a level shifter, saving board space and BOM cost. The 10 MHz SPI clock delivers a read throughput of roughly 1.25 MB/s — adequate for configuration storage, calibration tables, and event logs. For higher-speed data logging, consider a 20 MHz part like the AT25320B-MAHL-E, but the 25AA320AT-I/MNY keeps the bus timing relaxed for longer PCB traces.
Package and footprint — 8-TDFN with exposed pad
The supplier device package is 8-TDFN (2x3), so the PCB land pattern should match the Microchip recommended footprint. Cut Tape (CT) is also available for prototyping.
