128Kbit I²C EEPROM in 8-SOIC — active production, industrial temp
The Microchip Technology 24LC128T-I/SN is a 128Kbit serial EEPROM organized as 16K x 8 bits, accessed through an I²C interface at clock frequencies up to 400 kHz.
Second-source fit — 24AA128T-I/SN drop-in with voltage caveat
The 24AA128T-I/SN is pin-compatible and functionally identical — same 128Kbit density, same I²C interface, same 8-SOIC package, same 900 ns access time and 5 ms write cycle. The critical difference is the supply voltage: the 24AA128T-I/SN operates from 1.7V up, while the 24LC128T-I/SN requires a minimum of 2.5V. A board designed for the 24LC128T-I/SN at 3.3V or 5V will accept the 24AA128T-I/SN without rewiring, but the reverse is not guaranteed — the 24LC128T-I/SN will not run on a 1.8V rail.
Fully ROHS3 compliant, with no restricted substances above the threshold limits under EU Directive 2011/65/EU.
