Forward drop and conduction loss at 1 A
The 1N6760/TR is a Schottky barrier rectifier rated for 80 V DC reverse and 1 A average forward current. The forward voltage is 690 mV maximum at 1 A — this is the conduction loss floor at rated current. At lower forward currents the Vf drops, but the Schottky's lower barrier height compared to a PN-junction diode means the forward drop stays below 0.5 V across most of the operating range. Reverse leakage is specified at 100 µA at 80 V, 25°C junction. Leakage doubles roughly every 10°C rise; at the 150°C maximum junction temperature the leakage current can increase by several orders of magnitude, adding to the thermal load. For high-temperature or high-voltage derating, budget the leakage power dissipation alongside the forward conduction loss.
Package and board-fit — DO-41 axial
The 1N6760/TR is supplied in the DO-204AL (DO-41) axial-lead package, through-hole mount. The axial leads are suited for point-to-point wiring, prototyping boards, or through-hole PCB layouts where serviceability and manual replacement are priorities. The Tape & Reel packaging (TR suffix) indicates it ships on a reel for automated insertion equipment.
