Fast recovery rectifier for line-frequency and HF switching
The Microchip Technology 1N6626/TR is a fast recovery rectifier diode rated for 220 V reverse voltage and 1.75 A average forward current, with a reverse recovery time of 30 ns.
Parametric profile and junction rating
Forward drop is 1.35 V maximum at 2 A, giving a conduction loss of roughly 2.4 W at rated current — the junction-to-ambient thermal path must be sized accordingly. Reverse leakage is only 2 µA at 220 V, so off-state dissipation is negligible. Capacitance at 10 V reverse bias is 40 pF; this junction capacitance, combined with the 30 ns trr, defines the turn-off energy and sets a practical upper switching frequency in the tens to low hundreds of kilohertz, depending on the topology and snubber design.
Package and supply format
Supplied in Tape & Reel (TR) on an A, Axial package — the standard through-hole format for automated insertion and hand assembly. The axial leads suit point-to-point wiring on terminal boards or through-hole PCB layouts where a compact footprint is not critical.
