What this Zener TVS does in your circuit
With a peak pulse power rating of 500 W, it handles surge energy that would otherwise damage downstream silicon. The 27 V minimum breakdown voltage ensures the device starts conducting before the rail exceeds safe limits. The 12 A peak pulse current rating defines the maximum surge the diode can absorb without failing — useful for sizing the protection for a given transient environment on a 24 Vdc supply input.
Temperature range and mounting
Mounting is surface mount, and the package is supplied in Tape & Reel (TR) or Cut Tape (CT) options for pick-and-place assembly.
This is a current-production part, not a discontinued or NRND device.
