The Microchip Technology 1N6392 is a 54 A average rectified Schottky diode in the DO-203AB (DO-5) stud-mount package, rated for 45 V reverse voltage with a fast recovery time under 500 ns at forward currents above 200 mA.

The 54 A average rectified current (Io) is the continuous DC load the diode can handle in a 25°C ambient with proper heatsinking — for a high-current power supply or battery charger output, this sets the design ceiling before derating for temperature and case size. Forward voltage is 820 mV typical at 120 A peak — the Schottky junction gives lower conduction loss than a PN diode at this current level, but the 2 mA reverse leakage at 45 V (Vr max) is higher than a PN equivalent, a trade-off to budget in high-temperature operation. The 3000 pF junction capacitance at 5 V reverse bias means the diode stores charge that must be swept out during turn-off — in a 50/60 Hz line-frequency rectifier this is negligible, but in a switching supply above 10 kHz the reverse-recovery charge starts to add loss.
