Active production — 33 V Zener in a hermetic SQ-MELF
The 1N6336US/TR: The ±5% tolerance on the nominal 33 V Zener voltage means the actual breakdown sits between 31.35 V and 34.65 V — tight enough for a 5 V rail clamp or a 24 V bus reference without trimming.
Thermal and leakage profile for harsh environments
Operating junction temperature spans -65°C to 175°C — this is the full military-grade range, so the diode holds its regulation through cold-soak and hot-engine-bay conditions alike. The SQ-MELF hermetic package keeps moisture out; no dry-storage bake needed before reflow. Reverse leakage is specified at 50 nA maximum when 25 V is applied across the junction. At 33 V the leakage rises but stays below 100 µA typical — negligible for a voltage reference but worth budgeting if the diode sits across a high-impedance node. Maximum impedance (Zzt) is 40 Ohms — the dynamic resistance at the test current. A 40 Ω Zzt at 33 V means the regulation slope is about 1.2 mV per mA of load change; fine for a shunt regulator but not a precision bandgap reference.
Tape & Reel packaging for automated assembly
Surface-mount SQ-MELF means the diode sits flat on the PCB pad with no through-hole lead forming.
