Transient protection for 15–18V rails
It clamps transients on a 20V reverse standoff rail, with a minimum breakdown voltage of 22.8V and a maximum clamping voltage of 33.2V at 45A peak pulse current. This is a single bidirectional channel device, meaning it protects against both positive and negative transients without needing two diodes back-to-back. The through-hole DO-13 package suits point-of-use board-level protection where a soldered leaded part is preferred over a surface-mount alternative for mechanical robustness or rework ease.
For a 20V rail, that 13.2V of overshoot is typical for a 1500W-class TVS; the margin is acceptable for most 30V-rated downstream components. The 45A rating is the peak current the diode can handle for a 10/1000µs pulse without failure.
