130 V zener with tight tolerance and wide temperature range
The 1N6027D is a 130 V zener diode in a DO-35 axial-lead package, rated for 500 mW continuous power dissipation. The ±1% tolerance on the nominal zener voltage means the regulation point is tightly held — useful in a reference or clamp circuit where the rail must stay within a narrow window across load and temperature. The 950 Ohm maximum zener impedance (Zzt) at the test current sets the dynamic regulation — a lower impedance means less voltage shift with changing current through the diode.
Leakage and forward characteristics
Reverse leakage is specified at 100 nA maximum with 99 V applied across the junction — 31 V below the zener knee. This low leakage suits high-impedance bias networks where every nanoamp of board-level leakage eats into the signal budget. Forward voltage is 1.1 V maximum at 200 mA forward current, consistent with a standard silicon junction. The DO-35 glass body handles the 500 mW dissipation with adequate lead-length derating; in a densely populated board the leads should be kept short to conduct heat into the traces.
