The ±2% tolerance on the nominal Zener voltage makes it suitable for precision voltage reference and clamping applications where a standard 5% Zener would introduce too much drift.

The 110 V nominal Zener voltage at a test current implied by the 500 mW rating sets the regulation point. The 650 Ohms maximum Zener impedance (Zzt) means the diode's dynamic resistance is relatively high — expect the regulation voltage to shift by roughly 65 mV per mA of bias current change.
