The ±1% tolerance on the nominal voltage means the regulation point stays within 99 V to 101 V across the operating range — tight enough for precision bias supplies or voltage references where a standard 5% part would drift outside the load's tolerance band.

Wide temperature range and leakage performance

Operating from -65°C to 175°C, the device covers military and industrial temperature extremes without derating the 500 mW ceiling. Reverse leakage is specified at 100 nA maximum when biased at 76 V — 24 V below the Zener knee — so the diode does not load the circuit until it reaches the breakdown region.
