Active production — 91 V regulation in a DO-35 body
The 1N6023B: With a ±5% tolerance on the nominal 91 V Zener voltage, this part provides a tight regulation window for voltage reference or clamping applications where the rail sits near 90 V.
Temperature range and leakage — the operating envelope
The junction operates from -65°C to 175°C, covering military and industrial temperature extremes without derating the 500 mW power limit across the full range. Reverse leakage is specified at 100 nA maximum when biased at 69 V — well below the Zener knee, so the diode draws negligible current in standby or bias circuits until the breakdown region is reached. Maximum forward voltage is 1.1 V at 200 mA, typical for a silicon junction of this die size; the 300 Ohm maximum Zener impedance (Zzt) at the test current indicates a moderately soft knee, expected for a 91 V device.
Package and board-fit — DO-35 axial leaded
The DO-35 glass body (DO-204AH) with axial leads is a standard through-hole footprint — the leads bend to fit 0.3-inch or 0.4-inch hole spacing on a perfboard or PCB, and the glass passivation seals the junction against moisture. Supplied in bulk tube packaging, the leads are tin-plated for solderability; the body diameter is approximately 2.0 mm, so it fits standard axial-lead insertion tooling.
