62 V zener, ±1% — the regulation anchor
The 1N6019D is a 62 V zener diode from Microchip Technology, ±1% tolerance, rated for 500 mW continuous power dissipation. The tight tolerance makes it a candidate for voltage-reference or clamping circuits where the regulation point needs to stay within 0.62 V of nominal across temperature and current. The reverse leakage is specified at 100 nA maximum at 47 V reverse voltage, which is the knee region below breakdown.
Supplied in the DO-204AH (DO-35) axial-lead glass package. The through-hole body is 0.087-inch diameter, leads are tin-plated copper. It survives wave-solder and hand-solder profiles without issue — no MSL concern on a hermetic glass package. The impedance (Zzt) is 225 Ohms maximum at the zener test current — this sets the dynamic resistance the downstream circuit sees when the diode regulates. For a 62 V rail, the 500 mW rating limits the steady-state current to about 8 mA.
