13 V regulation in a DO-35 body
The 1N6003C/TR is a 13 V zener diode from Microchip Technology in a DO-35 (DO-204AH) axial-lead package, rated for 500 mW continuous power dissipation. The ±2% tolerance on the nominal voltage means the actual zener knee sits between 12.74 V and 13.26 V at the specified test current — tight enough for a 13 V reference rail in a discrete regulator or overvoltage clamp. Maximum impedance (Zzt) is 25 Ohms at the zener test current, which sets the dynamic regulation slope — the output voltage shifts about 25 mV per mA of load change through the knee region. Reverse leakage is specified at 100 nA maximum with 9.9 V across the junction, so the diode draws negligible current below the breakdown threshold.
Temperature range and shelf life
The DO-35 glass body handles the full range; the axial leads suit through-hole board assembly or point-to-point wiring in a module.
