The 1N6002D/TR is a 12 V Zener diode from Microchip Technology in a DO-35 axial package, rated for 500 mW continuous power dissipation. The ±1% tolerance makes it suitable for precision voltage reference applications where tighter regulation is needed than the standard 5% or 10% Zener grades.
Electrical characteristics and fit
Maximum Zener impedance (Zzt) is 22 Ohms at the test current — this dynamic resistance determines how much the output voltage shifts with load current. A 22 Ohm Zzt at 12 V means a 1 mA change in bias current shifts the output by roughly 22 mV, which is acceptable for most reference and clamping circuits. Reverse leakage is specified at 100 nA maximum at 9.1 V reverse voltage — three volts below the Zener knee — so standby power draw in a battery-powered circuit stays negligible. Forward voltage is 1.1 V max at 200 mA, typical for a silicon junction diode.
Supplied in Tape & Reel packaging (TR suffix) for automated assembly, the DO-35 axial body is through-hole mounted. The DO-204AH (DO-35) glass package is hermetically sealed, offering good moisture resistance in non-condensing environments.
