The 1206L075THYR is a polymeric PTC resettable fuse from the POLY-FUSE® 1206L series, rated to hold 750 mA continuously at up to 8V without tripping. When a fault pushes current above the trip threshold (1.5 A typical), the internal polymer heats and the resistance jumps — the device limits the fault to protect the downstream circuitry. The 100 A maximum fault current rating means it can safely interrupt a dead short on a low-voltage rail without rupturing the package. The concave termination style is common for PTCs — it gives good solder-joint visibility under inspection and the pad layout matches standard 1206 footprints. The initial resistance is 90 mOhms minimum, rising to 290 mOhms maximum after a trip event, which is typical for this class and keeps the voltage drop under 70 mV at rated hold current.

Approvals include cURus and TUV, which cover UL 1434 and IEC 60738-1 respectively — the two main standards for polymeric PTC overcurrent protectors.
