60V polymeric PTC — 50 mA hold, 150 mA trip
The 1206L005/60WR is a surface-mount polymeric PTC resettable fuse from Littelfuse's POLY-FUSE 1206L series, rated for 60 V maximum continuous voltage and 10 A maximum fault current. Its 50 mA hold current (Ih) means the device stays in its low-resistance state below that current at 25 °C ambient; above 150 mA trip current (It) it switches to a high-resistance state, limiting the fault. Typical time to trip at 25 °C is 1.5 seconds — fast enough to protect downstream components from sustained overcurrent without nuisance tripping on inrush. Post-trip resistance rises to 20 ohms max, holding the circuit in a protected state until power is cycled and the PTC cools.
1206 footprint, concave package — reflow-ready
The concave termination profile suits standard reflow soldering profiles for lead-free assembly; the package is compatible with pick-and-place equipment. Supplied on Tape & Reel (TR) or Cut Tape (CT), the 1206L005/60WR is ready for volume assembly or prototype runs. The reel quantity suits production; cut tape serves bench builds and small-batch work.
Active production — sourced to order
As a polymeric PTC, it is RoHS-compliant and lead-free by construction. No special handling or moisture sensitivity level (MSL) bake is required beyond standard JEDEC floor life for passive components.
