The 1.5SMC510A is a 1500W (1.5kW) Zener TVS diode from Littelfuse's 1.5SMC series, designed to clamp transient overvoltage events on a 434V DC bus. With a 485V minimum breakdown voltage and 434V reverse standoff, this part sits on a nominal 400V DC rail and starts conducting at the breakdown threshold, shunting the surge current before the voltage reaches the clamp ceiling.
